Model Highlights

The Q60 is offered in Q60 Coupe Journey, Q60 Coupe AWD (all-wheel drive) and Q60S 6MT (manual transmission) versions. In addition there are two INFINITI Performance Line (IPL) models--the Q60 IPL Coupe and Q60 IPL 6MT. Most Q60 models are powered by a 3.7L V6, making 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. Q60 IPL models instead get a version that makes 348 hp and 276 lb-ft. The engine delivers its power to the wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The automatic transmission includes both a Drive Sport mode as well as Adaptive Shift Control, with a manual mode, solid magnesium paddle-shifters and downshift rev matching. Meanwhile, the engine's 'drive-by-wire' throttle, variable valve lift, symmetric twin intake and a dual exhaust system with equal length manifolds altogether helps the engine breath well and be responsive throughout the rev range. The Q60 is tuned to have the responsiveness of a sports car, but with the ride comfort of a touring car. Fundamentals include a 4-wheel independent suspension arrangement with large front and rear stabilizer bars. In front, it has a double-wishbone layout, while in back there's a multi-link arrangement that helps provide nimble handling, even on rougher surfaces. Strong, 4-wheel vented disc brakes with 4-channel anti-lock are standard on all Q60 models. 18-inch alloy wheels with V-rated all-season tires are standard, but a Performance Tire & Wheel Package brings 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels and high-performance tires. A Sport Package that can be added to the Q60 Coupe Journey and all-wheel drive adds a sport suspension, viscous limited-slip differential and staggered-width W-rated tires. These models also include 4-piston calipers in front and 2-piston calipers in back--plus larger ventilated rotors. All-wheel-drive models of the Q60 include the brand's ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, which uses an active center clutch to smartly send more power to the front wheels when needed. It allows the full performance of a rear-wheel-drive car on dry roads--with 100 of power going to the rear wheels--yet can place up to 50 percent of available power to the front wheels for road conditions. The Q60 is a 4-passenger coupe, with enough space for two passengers in back, for short trips. Rear seatbacks fold flat, allowing longer items to be stored in the trunk quite easily. The Sport Package includes front sport seats with thigh extensions and adjustable bolsters, The full-length center console includes 'Silk Obi' aluminum trim an Interior Accent Package brings high-gloss Maple wood trim. Q60 Convertibles have a wider track in back compared to Coupe models, with a unique body structure. The 3-piece 'clamshell' retractable hardtop arrangement includes a low trunk lid and chrome rear trunk finisher, with the power top tucking neatly underneath in about 30 seconds total. Standard equipment is very generous no matter which model, and includes leather upholstery, heated front seats, USB/iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio compatibility, cruise control, automatic climate control, an Intelligent Key system and a rearview camera system. Options include a Navigation Package, which includes a wide-screen display, NavTraffic and NavWeather real-time services, a Zagat Restaurant Guide and voice recognition. A Technology Package adds Intelligent Cruise Control, Brake Assist with Preview Braking, rain-sensing wipers and an Advanced Climate Control System. There's also a Bose premium audio system that comes with eleven speakers.
