Ever since giving the Accord a hatchback in 2010, Honda Superstore of Joliet has been following the development of the Crosstour quite closely. The vehicle started out as a mere offshoot; being named the Accord Crosstour, but soon dropped its sibling model's name in order to stand out on its own. And now, as we head into the 2013 model year, we can't help but wonder what Honda might have in store next.

If you can't help but ponder yourself, then you'll be pleased to know that Honda doesn't plan on leaving us hanging for long. The Big H is currently planning to show off a completely redesigned version of the Crosstour at the 2012 New York Auto Show. Redesigned how? Again, we don't have any official details from Honda. But if we had to venture a guess, we'd say that it's most likely based on the next-generation Accord. After all, while the Crosstour ditched the Accord prefix from its official name, it's still very much based on the mid-size sedan's platform.

Unable to make it to the show?Don't worry, we won't be able to either. But, Honda is giving dedicated fans the next best thing. Specifically, they plan to release high-resolution photos and videos of the redesigned hatchback on their official website. What's more, you won't have to wait until after the show. Honda is planning to post everything the day that the vehicle goes on display.
