What's New in the 2013 HondaFit?
Admittedly, not very much. And that's something we here at Honda Superstore of Joliet are happy to say. The Honda Fit was heavily redesigned for the 2012 model year, and it's proven to be quite popular with drivers in the greater Joliet, IL area. Nevertheless, in honor of the 2013 model, we'd like to go over everything that the Big H's subcompact hatchback has to offer.
The 2013 Honda Fit is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that can be paired with either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. With a manual transmission equipped, the Fit can attain an incredible fuel economy rating of 27 mpg city/33 mpg highway/29 mpg combined, while the automatic model achieves 28 mpg city/35 mpg highway/31 mpg combined*.
With such an efficient powertrain, it's no wonder that the Honda Fit enters its 2013 model year with so many awards. A small sampling of the accolades that it's won include...
"$16,000 Subcompact Shootout"
competition by Cars.com, USA Today and MotorWeek
- "2012 Residual Value Award" from ALG
- Earned top honors in the J.D. Power and Associates' Initial Quality Study Subcompact Car segment in 2011
- Six-time Car and Driver magazine "10Best Cars" award winner
- Insurance Institute for Highway Safety TOP SAFETY PICK
One small change that Honda has made for the Fit in 2013 is the addition of a new exterior color to replace last year's Orange Burst Metallic. That would be a new, darker Midnight Plum Pearl exterior paint color.
